Job Overview

We are seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our supermarket and retail store team. The CSR will ensure a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience for customers by managing inquiries, resolving complaints, processing transactions, and supporting store operations. The role requires strong product knowledge, sales assistance skills, and a customer-first approach to drive satisfaction and loyalty.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Support

  • Welcome and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Address inquiries about products, promotions, pricing, and store policies.
  • Handle complaints effectively and escalate complex issues when needed.
  • Provide after-sales support and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.

Sales & Product Assistance

  • Guide shoppers in locating products and making purchase decisions.
  • Cross-sell and upsell to maximize sales.
  • Stay updated on promotions, loyalty programs, and special offers.

Store Operations & Transactions

  • Operate cash registers, handle payments, and issue receipts accurately.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient checkout processes.
  • Assist in inventory management, report stock shortages, and help restock shelves.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized store displays.

Teamwork & Compliance

  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve store goals.
  • Follow company policies, customer service standards, and operational procedures.
  • Comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of OND/HND; Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
  • At least 1 year of retail or customer service experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in handling transactions.
  • Basic computer literacy (POS systems, MS Office).
  • Ability to multitask, stay professional under pressure, and manage difficult customers.
