About the Role
Charbens Limited is seeking a skilled MERN Stack Developer (Gaming Industry) with 4+ years of proven experience to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance gaming platforms using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
This role requires a passion for gaming technology, a deep understanding of real-time multiplayer systems, and expertise in full-stack development to deliver immersive player experiences for a global audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain end-to-end gaming applications with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
- Build and optimize real-time APIs, WebSockets, and multiplayer features.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to create player-centric gaming solutions.
- Ensure application scalability, performance, and data security for large user bases.
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code that aligns with industry best practices.
- Manage databases, caching, and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure) for large-scale gaming data.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing gaming systems.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in gaming, full-stack development, and interactive platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years professional experience as a MERN Stack Developer.
- Strong background in the gaming industry (multiplayer systems, esports, betting platforms, or online casinos).
- Proficiency in MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with WebSockets, Socket.io, and real-time data handling.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and database optimization.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+); TypeScript knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with game server mechanics and real-time synchronization.
- Knowledge of WebGL, Three.js, or other interactive graphics libraries.
- Strong background in building scalable gaming platforms for high-traffic environments.
- Understanding of gamification strategies and player engagement techniques.
